It's not the sort of thing you'd usually expect to see going under the hammer at a school fundraising auction.
But when Kevin Spacey learned Laurence Olivier's personal monogrammed leather script binder was to be sold at a fundraiser at an exclusive London school, he felt compelled to bid.
Hollywood star Kevin put in an offer of £2,000 from America, but the binder finally went to a parent who paid £8,000.
The item was one of several desirable lots at the event, organised by The Harrodian School in London's Barnes – which is attended by several A-list offspring.
Also up for grabs was a day of cricket coaching with Imran Khan, donated by him and former wife Jemima, and a luxury holiday aboard a 62ft yacht in the Caribbean.
