Jemima Khan's multi-millionaire brother and wife to divorce
Their romance was the stuff of movies.
Zac Goldsmith, the wealthy eco-campaigning brother of Jemima Khan, spotted a beautiful model sitting in a café and swept her off her feet with a bunch of flowers, delivered with his phone number.
But ten years on, the fairytale is over. Zac and former actress Sheherazade are to divorce, and the 34-year-old now faces losing a sizable chunk of a £250 million fortune, inherited from his father Sir James, in the forthcoming settlement.
And it's feared the split may affect the heir's hopes of becoming MP for Richmond Park, where he is the Conservative party candidate.
A spokesman for the pair confirmed the breakup, adding: "They remain close and mutually supportive of each other and of their children. There will be no further comment by either party."
Sheherazade, 35, spent the summer with the couple's three children at their home in Devon.
Meanwhile her estranged husband has been living with his mother Lady Annabel at her home in his prospective constituency in South-West London.
