It was a clear lesson in maternity glamour.

Celebrity mums-to-be Claudia Schiffer, Sam Taylor-Wood and Jules Oliver stole the show at the premiere of Kick-Ass in London this week, all three stepping out for the screening with their burgeoning bumps on display.

Model Claudia was accompanied by her husband Matthew Vaughn – the director of the film. She looked absolutely radiant in a patterned Alice Temperley dress as she proudly cosied up to her husband.

The couple, who married in 2002, are expecting their third child together in May – a little girl, according to the Daily Mail - who will join brother Caspar, seven, and sister Clementine, five.

Another expectant mum supporting her man at the star-studded gathering was Sam Taylor-Wood.

She and fiancé Aaron Johnson braved the rain to make an appearance at the debut of his latest film, in which he stars as a young man who decides to become a superhero.

The 19-year-old actor, who is due to marry later this year, said he was "so excited" about becoming a first-time father with Sam, 42, who dazzled in a thigh-skimming Matthew Williamson dress.

Completing the group of yummy mummies was Jamie Oliver's wife Jules, who, despite being four months pregnant with their fourth child, still managed to slip into some skin-tight jeans.

The ladies weren't the only ones lighting up the red carpet.

With partner Angelina Jolie in Venice filming, Hollywood heavyweight Brad Pitt caused great excitement amongst fans as he turned out to support the movie, which he worked on as producer.

Other stars at the event included Jonathon Ross and his wife Jane Goldman, who wrote the screenplay for the film.

Based on a comic book, Kick-Ass is causing quite a stir because of its controversial use of strong language.

It also features turns from Nicolas Cage and Mark Strong, as well as young actress Chloe Moretz, who was just 11 at the time of filming.
