Russell Crowe's hell-raising days seemed little more than a distant memory as he spent some quality time with his son Charlie. The hunky actor, who has made no secret of his delight at becoming a father, was snapped taking his favourite boy for a stroll through the Woolloomooloo area of Sydney on Tuesday.
The Oscar winner did his best to keep a low profile by donning a baseball cap and sunglasses for the outing. His afternoon ramble came just a few days after Charlie was christened in the same chapel where his parents made their vows back in 2003.
Russell splashed out over £1.5 million on the building at his Nana Glen ranch where he and Danielle said "I do". And the Gladiator star is obviously not averse to sentimental construction projects, because he has now built an enclosed park for his son to play in.
Apparently the 40-year-old's wife wasn't too keen about their child playing alone in the bush, so Russ decided to do something about it. "Charlie hasn't spent much time at the farm yet, which is a bone of contention," explained the actor. "But I do understand Danny's attitude - the bush can be dangerous. We've cleared some stuff, just some bracken and low growth, and put some new grass in. I put a fence around it, so we can plop him in there and he can go crazy. It's just a big play area. I look at it and I think, 'man, if I was a kid, I'd be building forts in there'." |
