British actress Kate Winslet was looking fitter than ever when she was snapped strolling through the streets of Manhattan after working out in a nearby gym this week.

The mum-of-two has been keeping a relatively low profile since her critically-acclaimed turn opposite Johnny Depp in last year's Finding Neverland. We can expect to see a whole lot more of her in the months ahead, though, as she has a slew of major productions in the pipeline.

Big screen musical Romance And Cigarettes will be hitting cinemas in a few months' time, with the hotly-anticipated political drama All The Kings' Men, in which she stars opposite Jude Law and Sean Penn, coming hot on its heels.

And Kate is also due to take leading roles in two cartoon movies. In Flushed Away she teams up with Hugh Jackman and Sir Ian McKellen to tell the story of an uptown rat who finds himself living in the sewers after falling down the toilet of his penthouse apartment. Gnomeo and Juliette meanwhile sees her appearing opposite fellow Brits Judi Dench and Ewan McGregor in a tale of gardening and romance.
