Meg Ryan has become the latest Hollywood star to add to her family by adopting. The 44-year-old actress became a second-time mother to a Chinese girl this week after months of red tape. She already has a 13-year-old son, Jack, born of her ten-year marriage to actor Dennis Quaid.
After an eight-day stay in China, where she completed the paperwork in the American consulate, the Proof Of Life star is back in her $8.9 million Bel-Air mansion with her daughter. "I love being a mom," she's commented in the past. "I just love it." The silver screen actress is particularly enthusiastic about "stepping outside of your own needs".
After a two-year absence Meg is also facing a busy time in her career. In May she's back in movie theatres with In The Land Of Women and is set to begin filming thought-provoking immigration drama, Tortilla Curtain.
