She's famous for being Hollywood's most popular Southern belle and now Reese Witherspoon has decided to pack up her bags and return to her roots, leaving the glitzy lights of LA behind.

The Walk The Line star has moved back home to Charleston, South Carolina, where she'll be near her family, according to American news reports. And her two children with estranged husband Ryan Phillippe - Ava Elizabeth, seven, and Deacon, three - have been enrolled in local schools.

The Oscar-winner recently told fans she was "doing fine" after splitting from her Cruel Intentions co-star in October. "I'm getting out a little more now. You'll be seeing a lot more of me," she promised. The in-demand actress, who is currently busy filming the thriller Rendition alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Meryl Streep, cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason behind the break-up of her seven-year marriage.
