Being pregnant seems to suit Grey's Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo. The actress was positively glowing as she took in a basketball game with her husband Chris Ivery. And the beginnings of a baby bump were clearly visible beneath her oversize white sleeveless top.
Ellen - who plays Meredith Grey in the medical drama - met music producer Chris in a grocery store when they were both shopping in the fruit and veg section for melons. They became engaged in 2006 on her November 10 birthday and tied the knot exactly a year later.
The couple are expecting their first child later this year. Fans of the popular programme – the fifth season of which is currently showing in the UK - are waiting to see if its writers will incorporate 38-year-old Ellen's pregnancy into the script.
With filming of season six due to begin late this summer there have been reports a baby could feature in the relationship between Ellen's character and her love interest Derek Shepherd, aka Dr McDreamy, played by Patrick Dempsey.
