Beyonce Knowles reunited with her girl group Destiny's Child – on the red carpet, that is – as she helped launch New York's Fashion Rocks concert, designed to celebrate the fusion of fashion and music.
Billed as an "extraordinary evening of style and sound", the Radio City Music Hall event featured performances by Beyonce, as well as Andre 3000 of Outkast, Alicia Keys, Avril Lavigne, the Black Eyed Peas and Rod Stewart.
Beyonce put on one of her sexy, spectacular shows, displaying her "bootylicious" figure in bronze hotpants and heels. She was decidedly more demure in a 1940s look as she arrived at the venue accompanied by her Destiny's Child co-stars, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, who highlighted their individual style in a tangerine gown and aubergine satin trousersuit, respectively.
Stars from the world of pop, sport and style donned their finest fashion for the star-studded concert, which will be supplemented with a month-long exhibition at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland. Tennis star Venus Williams, actress Denise Richards and rock offspring-turned-designers Jade Jagger and Stella McCartney were all among the glamorous guests. |
