Prince William put his best foot forward at the weekend in an effort to raise money for charity. The 22-year-old, along with a host of other British celebs, joined in the Sports Relief fun run through London city centre.

Wills completed the mile-long course in just over six minutes, but he was beaten to the finish line by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. His brother Harry had also intended to take part in the event, but had to pull out at the last minute because of an injury.

"I tripped him so he wouldn't beat me," joked William after finishing the run. "It was sad that Harry couldn't run. If he had, he would have done it faster." The Prince's younger sibling was there to greet him at the end of the course. "I'm very proud of you," said Harry as he shook his brother's hand.

Just a few hours later the young royal once again showed off his athletic prowess when he took to the polo field with his father Prince Charles and cousin Zara Phillips. The royal trio played for the Indian Cavalry Officers' team against the Combined Services at Tidworth.
