The crown princess gave birth to a baby boy on Tuesday at Erasmus Hospital in Anderlecht just after 1pm. The infant, who weighed in at 8lbs 10oz and measured just over 19 and a half inches long, has been given the names Emmanuel Leopold Guillaume François Marie.

Both mum and little one are doing well according to an official statement from the royal palace.

The new addition is now fourth in line to the throne, behind his sister, Princess Elisabeth – whose fourth birthday is in just a few weeks – and two-year-old brother Gabriel.
