Actress Joan Collins has revealed that she is considering adopting a baby. Speaking to a US magazine, Joan said she and her new husband, theatre producer Percy Gibson, had talked about it a number of times and will not rule it out if the time is right.

“We’ve talked about it because he’d been married for ten years but he didn’t want to have any children then,” said the 68-year-old Dynasty star.

Percy, 36, said: “I don’t know, maybe I’m just too selfish. Or perhaps I’m just too concerned what the baby’s going to turn out like with me as a father. Would we ever consider adopting a baby? Well, maybe, we’ll see what happens.”

The Dynasty star, who married fifth husband Percy at a star-studded ceremony in London on Monday, already has three grown-up children, 38-year-old Tara, and Sascha, 36, from her marriage to Anthony Newley, and Katy, 29, from her union with Ron Kass.

The couple, currently on honeymoon in New Zealand, also quashed rumours that they had signed a pre-nuptial agreement. “Percy suggested one,” said Joan, “but I feel so strongly about our love and trust that I didn’t consider one necessary. Percy is the most honourable person I’ve ever met.”
