£27million is a pretty staggering sum of money, but that's how much Lady Gaga raised for the World Health Organisation and COVID-19 relief with her virtual gig back in April, which also featured Billie Eilish, Chris Martin and dozens of other performers.
Gaga's Born This Way Foundation has been active since 2012 focusing on mental health in young people; the singer, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, said she wanted to "establish a standard of bravery and kindness".
"Kindness heals the world. Kindness heals people. It's what brings us together - it's what keeps us healthy." - Lady Gaga
The charity runs the #BeKind21 initiative, which encourages people to do at least one kind thing a day for three weeks during September and has worked on #BeKindBeThere which promotes the idea of supporting other people's mental health.
