Ginger Zee is used to dealing with harrowing natural disasters as a meteorologist, but nothing could have prepared her for the explosion she had to deal with at her family home.
As she eagerly prepared for Thanksgiving with her family, Ginger made a cooking faux pas which caused a mess of epic proportions.

The mom-of-two documented her struggles on Instagram with a head-turning photo showing exactly what had happened.

Ginger was in her kitchen splattered with what looked like blood and the entire room was also caked in the red goo.
The star revealed she had been trying to make sorbet but it appeared the blender had exploded.

"Thanksgiving prep is going well over here — how about you?," she wrote, before adding: "I swear I was just following directions. #cranberrysorbet @roofustee @zuidgeestcraft @ashleyyxxo."

She also shared a close-up of her concoction and fans couldn't believe it. They commented: "Did you slaughter the turkey in that kitchen?" and. "O. M. G. That smile though. New book cover? Natural disaster 2? Woman made disaster!?"
Ginger will be spending the holidays with her husband, Ben Aaron, and their two boys and it appears she's preparing for more people to descend upon them.

Her youngest son had a very grown up haircut ahead of the holidays and she documented it on social media too.
Ginger and Ben will have Thanksgiving with their children
Ginger posted an image of her son at the salon, sitting quietly as a pattern was etched into the side of his hair.
She explained more in the caption, which read: "This kid has been asking for a lightning bolt in his hair for two months. Wakes up every morning begging for a haircut. I’ve never seen a 4 year old with this much insistence over clothing, look and creativity - I love it. @benaarontv."
Her fans also adored the cut and commented: "The next GREAT designer," and, "The Z/lightning bolt is part of the family crest," while a third added: "He’s repping his Momma! That kids got some Swag."
