If there's one thing that fans can always count on when it comes to Geri Halliwell-Horner, it's that the former Spice Girls singer will always be wearing white, even at someone else's wedding.
In July, she was one of the first guests to arrive at Mel C and Chris Dingwall's nuptials, which were held at The Country House in Cumbria. In images published from the ceremony, Geri was seen in a white top and skirt, etched with a romantic floral print, matching the colour worn by the blushing bride.
In a new interview on Australian network KIIS 1065, Mel was asked about her friend's fashion decision. "I did have a little chat with Geri because it is her favourite colour," she told the station.
"She wears it every day. But she had a beautiful floral dress on and it was white white... I did have a little giggle with her about that."
The singer also revealed that close friend Victoria Beckham was disappointed to miss the event, having to be in the United States with her own husband, David Beckham, for the FIFA World Cup.
"Victoria was very disappointed to not be there," Mel explained. "She was with David in New York and it was the football final."

Of course she made my gorgeous dress and she was messaging me on the day.
"I actually saw her when I was in Ibiza so we had a little catch up. We were giving her updates and sending her pictures."
Fans react to Geri's decision
Although Mel didn't mind her friend opting for her white wardrobe, several fans were a little more dismissive of the decision.
One follower quipped: "Geri couldn't give the colour white a rest for one day…" This comment generated over a thousand 'likes' with plenty of responses, including one follower who added in agreement: "RIGHT?! Like, come on, you don’t do that as a guest at a wedding."

Speaking to the Sunday Times in 2024, Geri explained that her decision to always wear white was no different from a CEO opting to wear a suit to work. "There's a power in covering up," she shared. "I didn't realise that. I don't need to overshare."
