Lorraine Kelly took inspiration from the Duchess of Cambridge on Tuesday morning as she presented the Lorraine Show on ITV, wearing a smart pastel blue shirt, navy trousers and a pair of classic patent high heel shoes. Wearing some of Kate’s favourite brands - if appeared she had taken some inspiration from Prince William's wife. The shirt - which she subtly customised by rolling up the sleeves - was from Hobbs and made in a pretty pastel blue, which retails at £79. Kate often wears the luxury high street store - at her very last public engagement in March she wore a £50 spotted blouse from the brand - which predictably became an instant sell-out. Loraine, 58, added tailored navy trousers by Karen Millen and topped off her chic look with a pair of patent high heel shoes by L.K. Bennett, which set her back £195. The mother of Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, often wears shoes from L.K. Bennett - and has been spotted in a variety of the brands dresses on a number of occasions so Lorraine is in great company.

Tuesday’s outfit is a stark contrast to the summery getup she wore on Monday - a tropical, palm-leaf printed dress by Spanish high street store Mango.

The £59.99 frock is currently online now in all sizes and has a distinctively holiday-esque edge. She teamed the ensemble - which had a contemporary asymmetric hem - with a pair of nude high heels from Office - the very same shoes fellow ITV presenter Holly Willoughby often steps out in. The £69 shoes are some of the most popular on the high street right now - Christine Lampard is also a big fan.

The ITV favourite wore a cobalt blue Topshop suit only last week - and twinned with her 23-year-old daughter Rosie who appeared on her show.

The mother and daughter styled the suit two different ways - Lorraine opted for silver high heel shoes and a pastel blue knit, and Rosie wore a statement rainbow cross body bag and trainers. The aim of the demonstration was to prove that despite a difference in age, you can make simple tweaks to make any outfit work.
