The Duchess of Cambridge's volumised updo
"Of course Duchess Kate would choose something suitably regal for the occasion!" he says. "I loved this beautiful style, which felt very majestic but still managed to look modern. A great blow-dry and lots of rollers is what you need here; Kate is well-known for her voluminous curls and this look is no different."
1. Set the hair with rollers and blast dry before unwinding, and then backbrushing the top section and the crown to add extra oomph.
2. Part the hair slightly at the front for definition, and then scoop back into a kind of half up-do, leaving the bottom section loose.
3. Shape into a beehive style using a bristle brush and a fantail comb, before pinning into place, tucking the ends underneath.
4. With the bottom sections, wind the curls in on themselves to create fullness, and then tuck up under the beehive section for volume at the bottom as well as the top of the hair. Softly brush over the two sections to merge them and hide any gaps between the two.
5. Use plenty of grips and a great strong-hold glossing hairspray such as Label. M’s Hold & Gloss Spray, then finish with some spectacular earrings a la Kate.
