EastEnders stars' homes including Jacqueline Jossa, Lacey Turner and Maisie Smith are worlds away from their lives on set

The cast of EastEnders may call Albert Square their home on set, but for actors including Lacey Turner and Maisie Smith their real-life houses are far more glamorous. The stars of the show past and present often share glimpses inside their properties on social media, and we're huge fans of the stylish interiors. Scroll through the gallery to see more…

Emma Barton

EastEnders actress and Strictly star Emma Barton lives in a beautiful home that she regularly shares glimpses of on social media. "Living room table…" Emma simply captioned this snap, which showed how she had topped the table with a vintage typewriter, tripod lamp, books and flowers. Underneath, Emma has filled a wicker hamper with fairy lights to create a decorative finishing touch.

On Mother's Day, Emma shared a look at her dining room, featuring a large white table with woven chairs and large windows overlooking her garden.

Emma showed how she had decorated her living room at Christmas, with white branches adorned with fairy lights and baubles in place of a traditional Christmas tree. It was positioned next to the fireplace, where there are Jo Malone candles and flowers on display, with a framed black-and-white portrait and traditional telephone on a dresser in the background.

Martine McCutcheon

Former EastEnders star Martine previously showed off her living room in a video of her son. It features wooden floors and white walls, with a large traditional fireplace.

Maisie Smith

Tiffany Butcher actress Maisie was forced to live on her own for the first time in order to isolate and be part of Strictly Come Dancing. But the star usually lives with her family and she has shown off the inside of her bedroom on social media, revealing yellow walls, two white bedside tables, and two matching lamps with hearts on.

Maisie has previously shared a look at the other side of the room in a post of her singing. There are two white chests of drawers on either side of a chimney breast, with a large brown lampshade and light brown floor.

Ross Kemp

Actor and documentary maker Ross lives with his wife Renee O'Brien, their son Leo, and twins Ava and Kitty in Cookham, Berkshire. In a social media post, Ross showed off his living room while ironing – and it features soft cream walls and a bay window where there are two button-back brown armchairs positioned.

Ross' kitchen is similarly muted, with beige tiled flooring and sage green cupboards with glossy black worktops. The couple also have a metallic silver double oven built into the cupboards.

Jacqueline Jossa

Former EastEnders actress Jacqueline lives with her husband Dan Osborne and their two daughters. The couple appear to have an open plan living room and kitchen, which they have painted grey with a charcoal-coloured sofa and matching foot stool.

Jacqueline's kitchen also has a large blue island white white worktops, while the room has plenty of photos on the walls.

During half-term, Jacqueline also revealed a look at the family's front room, featuring a large flatscreen TV and a set of shelves at one side. The room has the same muted grey colour scheme as the kitchen and dining room.

Jacqueline's daughter Mia has a luxurious nursery with a personalised toy box to keep the room tidy. "I would say Mia loves it but I defo love it more. Keeps the place nice and tidy," she captioned the photo.

Danny Dyer

EastEnders actor Danny Dyer lives with his wife Joanne Mas and their children, and while he doesn't often share photos of their home on Instagram, he couldn't resist showing off their new sofas in November – a huge dark grey buttoned back design with a matching foot stool.

Lacey Turner

Lacey Turner, best known for her role as Stacey Slater, has previously shared a look inside her colourful home, which features a striking blue velvet Chesterfield sofa and bohemian-inspired rugs on the floor.

Lacey gave birth to her first baby, Dusty, in July 2019. She recently shared a photo of her nursery, featuring white walls, a white cot and a selection of animal photos on the wall.

Lacey appears to have a matching velvet sofa in a vibrant shade of pink, and is a fan of colourful, patterned accessories, which add character to her spacious living room with glass bi-folding doors.

Louisa Lytton

For Louisa Lytton, who plays Ruby, her bedroom has a chic grey and white colour scheme with white bedside tables and a striped duvet cover. The actress' bedroom appears to be on a mezzanine floor, with glass panelling and views over a room below.

The actress also shared a look inside her living room after buying a new sofa, joking: "You know you're a grown up when excitement is new furniture and a good oven cleaner."

Martin Kemp

Martin lives with his wife Shirlie in Hertfordshire – and their stunning living room was showcased when Martin and his son Roman appeared on Celebrity Gogglebox.

The enormous L-shaped grey sofa is the rooms main feature, while a black dresser with a wooden worktop is positioned against one wall. On the top, Martin and Shirlie have placed two decadent candelabras with bronze bases, and a bronze flower vase.

The best part of their home must be the impressive garden, which Shirlie decorates seasonally. The couple have an outdoor fireplace and the space is often filled with bright and beautiful floral arrangements.

There is a second pink fireplace, trimmed with flowers and pinecones, which has been built into a tree – giving a romantic, fairytale feel to their outdoor space.  

Laurie Brett

Actress Laurie Brett has shared one photo of her home on Twitter, showing how she had decorated for Christmas with poinsettia plants and a huge garland with gold bows and red baubles over her fireplace.

Tamzin Outhwaite

Mel Owen actress Tamzin Outhwaite took to Instagram to showcase her newly-designed hallway in January, revealing the colourful patterned flooring and grey walls, which had been decorated with framed photos and a decorative mirror. There is even a window seat area with an array of colourful floral scatter cushion.

Tamzin shared a unique glimpse inside her home with this amusing snap of her daughters playing with a cardboard mask of her face. The open plan kitchen and living room has a chic midnight blue colour scheme, with wooden flooring and artwork on the walls.

How gorgeous is this room, with its hardwood flooring, open fireplace and huge windows? Tamzin has furnished the room with a piano and antique rug on the floor, while light-up presents were on display under the Christmas tree over the festive season.

Jessie Wallace

For Jessie Wallace, aka Kat Slater, there's no place like home! The actress has paid homage to some of her favourite musicians and movie stars by hanging pictures of Elvis Presley and Judy Garland on the walls, which can be seen reflected in a large silver oval-shaped mirror.

Jessie shared another look inside her living room over Christmas, showing her artfully-decorated tree trimmed with glittery baubles taking pride of place in the window. The actress has a stained glass window panel to the side of the room, with a print of comedian Stan Laurel on the wall alongside it.

Jake Wood

Former Strictly contestant Jake Wood lives with his wife Alison and their two children, and gave a rare glimpse inside the family as he joked about what they used to do before the internet – play cards! The photo shared a peek inside his kitchen and dining room, which has shelving filled with cookbooks, and a neon flamingo light on the work surfaces.

Another photo showed Jake's Christmas decorations in a navy blue lounge featuring a baroque patterned armchair, unique gold ornaments, and a stack of chopped logs ready for their wood-burning fire.
