The exhibition commemorating the fallen soldiers of World War I is entitled Blood Swept Lands And Seas of Red
Head bowed in reflection, the Queen paid tribute to fallen World War I soldiers at the Tower of London poppy exhibition on Thursday.
Accompanied by Prince Philip, the monarch walked among the sea of ceramic flowers, which will eventually number 888,246 – one for each British or Commonwealth life lost.
The poppies were handmade in Derby by volunteers with a family link to the heroes who paid the ultimate sacrifice. This way no two are the same.
