Gary Oldman receives knighthood from Harry Potter fan Prince William during 'emotional' ceremony
The Prince of Wales is a renowned Harry Potter fan, but he also confessed he watches spy thriller series, Slow Horses, as he presented its star, Sir Gary Oldman, with his knighthood at Windsor Castle on Tuesday. The Oscar-winning actor, 67, said he felt "very emotional" as he accepted the honour from Prince William for services to drama.
William told the actor that every time he sees him on screen as veteran MI5 agent Jackson Lamb in Apple TV's Slow Horses, "I just want to give you a good wash", Sir Gary said. See more here about what else the duo had to say to each other during the special occasion.
Prince William gets candid about the emotional void left by missing his grandparents: 'It's been quite a bit of change'
The Prince of Wales has opened up about missing his grandparents, as he made an appearance on Eugene Levy's show, The Reluctant Traveler. The episode, which airs on Apple TV+ on Friday 3 October, sees the Schitts Creek star, 78, being given a tour of Windsor Castle by the future king, as well as enjoying a pint in a local pub.
In one scene, Eugene asks Prince William, 43, whether he misses his grandmother, Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The father-of-three replies: "I do actually, yeah, I do miss my grandmother, and my grandfather. It's been quite a bit of change, so you do sort of, you think about them not being here anymore, and particularly being in Windsor, for me Windsor is her. Watch the moment in the video here.
Exclusive: Inside Prince Albert's 'moving and difficult' overseas solo trip
Prince Albert II continued his string of solo engagements as he travelled to Rwanda last Friday, with the Monagesque head of state, 67, visiting two beekeeping academies at the French Observatory of Apidology (OFA), which are dedicated to training vulnerable women in beekeeping techniques that will enable them to become honey producers and allow them to gain financial independence for themselves and their families
Prince Albert was accompanied by Thierry Dufresne, founder and President of the OFA, and Thierry told HELLO! of the moving visit: "It was his first visit to Rwanda. He came to learn about OFA's work here and to have an intimate and powerful exchange with these women, who told him about their lives and where they come from. It was a very moving moment for us, but also a very difficult one for them, as their stories are often terrible. But they were touched that a Prince, the sovereign of a European state, took the time to meet and listen to them." See more of what he had to say to HELLO!'s royal correspondent Danielle Stacey here.
