Knowing what to wear in this heatwave is a conundrum, especially if you're attending an event where smarter, less casual summer outfits are par for the course. Gabby Logan, 53, had the answer with her Wimbledon look - so chic, so breezy, so easy to replicate.
The renowned TV broadcaster wore a pink loose shirt dress, and to me, Gabby's Wimbledon outfit was a grand slam.
- Gabby Logan, 53, wore a heatwave-ready look to watch Wimbledon 2026.
- Gabby's pink, volumised sleeve shirt dress is by Marielle Stokkelaar.
- I found a lookalike at Wallis, on sale for £40, and Boden, on sale for £94.50.
Gabby's Wimbledon outfit serves as a reminder that sometimes, less is more, with her lightweight shirt dress bridging the gap between casual, smart and heatwave-friendly.
Gabby's dress is 100% cotton, a gorgeously cool, lightweight fabric that was spot on for the soaring temperatures at SW19.
She wore the dress with a pair of classic white court shoes and a coordinating bag, not forgetting the obligatory sunglasses needed for taking in a spot of tennis in the sun.
I love the radiance boosting shade of pink of the dress too; light without being too pale, and adding a splash of colour to the timeless dress. Pink is known to be a youthful, energy boosting colour and Gabby definitely hit the sweet spot with her dress.
How to recreate Gabby Logan's Wimbledon outfit
A pink shirt dress isn't hard to find on the high street, but you need to take in a few key factors of Gabby's dress to take it from classic to cool. Firstly, the material - Gabby's dress is 100% cotton, know to be a lightweight and breezy fabric. Look for cotton and linen pink dresses, both offering a more comfortable fit, or sheer manmade fibres to keep the breeze going.
Additionally, look for extra little details; Gabby's dress is striking for its XXL volumized sleeves, so look for similar or balloon style, puffed or scalloped to elevate it from 'just' a shirt dress.
I rate this Wallis dress, which is a darker but equally as flattering shade of pink, and made from a sheer fabric with blouson sleeves. Boden's embroidered pink shirt dress is a bargain for 100% cotton, reduced to £94.50. As well as sweet all over embroidery, it has voluminous sleeves and a tie at the waist to cinch things in.
I also love this Chinti & Parker dress, found via John Lewis, which features the sweetest scalloped edging on the pocket and sleeves. It's made from a breathable linen blend, and comes in light blue if pink isn't for you.
Wallis runs another pink shirt dress, reduced to £34.50, with organza style fabric and puff sleeves. Or for a 100% pure linen dress, try Aspiga's classic slim shirt dress in the sweetest shade of baby pink.
