Chip Gaines is stepping away from his wife, Joanna Gaines, after announcing a new solo project.
The Fixer Upper star, 51, will fly solo for Magnolia Network's new YouTube series, Pretty Good Advice with Chip Gaines, and the first five episodes drop on Monday, August 17.
The original series will see Chip impart words of wisdom and helpful tips to passersby from an advice booth outside Magnolia Market at the Silos in Waco, Texas.
"Chip will set up his advice booth at the Silos to offer guidance, and occasionally a little tough love, to guests who stop by," a press release announcing the series reads.
"In the premiere, he will help a baker determined to rebuild his life by rediscovering his passion for baking and entrepreneurship. Later, he gives an elementary schooler advice on going away to camp for the first time."
It continues: "Across the five episodes, conversations will span everything from home renovation and business to family and life wisdom, all delivered with Chip's signature humor and heart."
© Magnolia NetworkAccording to the show's episode descriptions, Chip will also help a boy seeking advice on "how to stand out in his big family," a couple looking for tips on hiring for their new business, a college professor asking for business tips for his students, and more.
New episodes will drop weekly through September 14, with the season finale featuring Chip offering advice to a "young prankster" looking to pull the "best prank" on their siblings, and a "backyard farmer [who] wants to know all about Chip's chickens."
© Nick KelleyThe show is the first recurring series Chip hosts without his wife, Joanna, 48. Most recently, the couple shared the screen in Magnolia Network's Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House.
Chip and Joanna found fame on HGTV's Fixer Upper, which ran for five seasons from 2013 to 2018. In 2021, they launched the Magnolia Network, taking over the now-defunct DIY Network.
They have since starred in and produced several of the network's shows, including Fixer Upper: Welcome Home, Fixer Upper: The Castle, Silos Baking Competition, Fixer Upper: The Hotel, Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse, Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House, and Magnolia Table with Joanna Gaines.

"These three songs are the daily soundtrack playing in my head," she captioned an Instagram video of herself running in a field to the Little House on the Prairie theme song, “The Sound of Music" from The Sound of Music, and "Total Eclipse of the Heart" by Bonnie Tyler.

Away from their successful media empire, Chip and Joanna, who celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary on May 31, 2026, are busy raising their five children: daughters Ella, 19, and Emmie, 16, and sons Drake, 21, Duke, 18, and Crew, eight.
