Prince Albert and Charlene wed in multicultural religious cermony

Prince Albert and Charlene Wittstock have consecrated their marriage during an emotional and sombre religious ceremony.

The couple exchanged rings during a mass celebrated by the Archbishop of Monaco in French and Afrikaans.

Charlene looked breathtaking in a stunning column dress by Armani with a spectacular train.

The only jewellery she wore was a glittering clasp at the nape of her neck.

The courtyard of the palace had been turned into an open-air cathedral, where 3,500 guests shared in the happy moment.

Millions more watched around the world.

Famous faces present included Naomi Campbell, Karl Lagerfeld and Nicolas Sarkozy. More on the royal wedding
