It was a great day for Formula One star Jenson Button on Wednesday, when he was invited to Buckingham Palace to be awarded an MBE by the Queen.
The driver, who attended the ceremony with his parents John and Simone, was thrilled to receive the award, calling it "the greatest honour I could possibly imagine".
"Today makes me incredibly proud to be British and to be able represent my country on the world's stage," he added.
Jenson's award comes after being crowned Formula One world champion last year.
Also honoured on Wednesday was Star Trek actor Patrick Stewart, who received a knighthood for his work in film, television and theatre.
