Zara Phillips will miss the celebrations surrounding her grandmother's Diamond Jubilee, as she pursues her Olympic dream.
Instead of attending the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant along with the rest of the Royal family, Zara will be trialling with her horse in order to achieve her goal of competing in this year's British Equestrian Team at the London Olympics.
Both Zara's parents Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips have competed in previous Olympic competitions.
And their daughter is keen to follow in their footsteps.
After a previous trial was cancelled due to bad weather conditions this will be the last opportunity for Zara to join the Oympic team.
The trial will be particularly important for the royal as she has previously failed to make the team for previous Games in 2004 and 2008.
