Prince Carl Philip's ex Emma Pernald finds love again

Emma Pernald, Prince Carl Philip of Sweden's constant companion for almost a decade, has reportedly found love again.

According to Swedish magazine Svensk Damtidning, the pretty brunette has been spotted out and about with a tall young man.

The publication doesn't identify the new boyfriend of Emma, who split with King Carl Gustaf's son a year ago. 

At the time, the couple's break up caused shockwaves in Sweden. It was reported by the Swedish press that Carl's sisters Princess Victoria and Princess Madeleine – both friends of Emma - did their best to convince their brother to resume the romance.

But it was not to be. The former sweethearts (pictured at a friend's wedding) – who are said to still share the same group of friends and have maintained an amicable friendship – have both moved on.

It's widely thought that Carl has begun a romance with model Sofia Hellqvist, but there's been no confirmation from the palace.
