The decision to axe presenter Penny Smith from GMTV has seemingly not been well-received by the programme's fans.
In light of the news, the ITV show’s website has been bombarded with messages from dedicated fans.
“Big mistake GMTV. BBC or Sky here we come," one disgruntled viewer writes.
Another posted: "Penny's the best. Big mistake to let her go."
Penny, who has been with the show for 17 years, is leaving for Radio 2 after being offered a reduced role as part of a huge cost-cutting exercise.
