Eva Longoria spends Cinco de Mayo with president

Eva Longoria spent Cinco de Mayo with the President of the United States.

Spanish for fifth of May, the day is celebrated annually in honour of Mexican culture and heritage.

And the Desperate Housewives actress – who is of Mexican descent - visited Washington to discuss issues with Barack Obama on the subject of the Latino community.

During her trip to the capital, Eva took some time out for a photo shoot on Capitol Hill.

Wearing a beige, fitted shift dress with nude shoes, the 36-year-old posed outside the Capitol Building before heading indoors to discuss the possibility of a National Museum of the American Latino.
