Freida Pinto has revealed  that she learnt a lot from her Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes co-star James Franco.

The Slumdog Millionaire actress plays an expert in chimp behaviour in the film.

"James is a very unconventional actor. He's in a different zone – the kind that I'm not very familiar with," she told the Daily Mirror.

"There's a lot to observe and learn, and I think that's part of my job as an actor."

The 26-year-old said working on the blockbuster was a very different experience to Slumdog.

"Your first film is like a little baby. This is very exciting because I've never done anything like this before in my short, three-year career."
