Nicholas Sarkozy certainly knows how to live la bonne vie.
Reports today confirmed the French president’s plane had been declared officially ready for take-off.
The specially upholstered £152 million Airbus will take Mr Sarkozy to the G20 summit in Seoul, South Korea on Friday.
The plane boasts a 12-man meeting room, 60 business class seats, and a special air filter system that enables passengers to smoke cigars on board.
Despite critics calling the purchase excessive given the global economic climate, Christian Fremont of Mr Sarkozy’s office insisted the purchase was vital as the older models were "shabby".
