Elton John pledges to support little orphan Lev
Rocket Man singer Elton John has vowed to give financial support to the Ukrainian orphan he was barred from adopting.
The 62-year-old singer's partner David Furnish said the pair will put up the money for schooling and hospital care for 17-month old Lev and his brother Artyom, three.
Elton told of his desire to adopt the cute toddler after meeting him at an HIV-positive kids' orphanage in Ukraine.
But Ukranian officials said he was unable to adopt the boy under the country's laws.
