She narrowly missed out on the chance to be Sir Alan Sugar's new protégé, but Apprentice finalist Kate Walsh can take consolation from the fact she has landed an exciting new role as the host of a TV show.
The bubbly blonde from Birmingham has signed up to front a nightly magazine-style show on Five.
Co-hosting the programme – thought to be the channel's answer to BBC's popular One Show - will be former footie ace Ian Wright and model Melinda Messenger.
A source said the new show will be "very American", and added: "It will be like nothing we've ever had on British telly."
