Former EastEnders star Natalie Cassidy has attempted to defuse the parenting row between her and Denise Van Outen.
Denise took offence in August when the actress criticised new mothers going back to work, saying: "Having a baby should be your job."
But this week Natalie said in her magazine column: "I haven’t been criticising anyone. It's up to each woman if she wants to go back to work – it's a personal decision."
She added: "But I'm old fashioned. I couldn't do a job that required me to be away from my baby all day."
Denise had taken to Twitter after seeing Natalie and her baby on Lorraine Kelly's breakfast show (pictured), where she was unveiling her new reality TV programme.
The blonde presenter and actress wrote: "Natalie Cassidy criticised me for going back to work after having Betsy.
"Natalie's on Lorraine show now promoting her reality pregnancy/new mum show. Isn't that work????
Denise also criticised Nataile for selling baby photos of her daughter Eliza, pointing out that she and husband Lee Mead gave the money from their first family pic to charity.
Natalie defended herself, saying: "Adam and I would love to be in a position financially to give money away.
"I hope when I'm the same age as her and more financially secure I'll be able to do the same."
