A Clockwork Orange author Anthony Burgess has had a plaque unveiled at the University of Manchester in his honour.
The writer graduated from the university in 1940 and was awarded an honourary doctorate in 1967.
Born John Burgess Wilson, Anthony went on to write 33 novels, two symphonies and 250 other pieces of musical work.
Stanley Kubrick's version of the popular novel was also a big hit on the screen.
The film was banned for years for its controversial portrayal of the violent gang that went awry in a lawless, dystopian society.
