Woman accused of burning John Travolta document

Monday October 12, 2009

A woman standing trial for blackmailing Pulp Fiction star John Travolta has been accused of burning an important document relating to the case.

Ex-senator Pleasant Bridgewater - the accused paramedic alongside co-worker Tarino Lightbourne - allegedly destroyed a form relating to the treatment of John's son, Jett, after his death in January.

Detective Debroah Thompson told the court that Ms Bridgewater destroyed the form "after she noticed the situation was about to explode".

The document would have released the ambulance driver of liability had Jett been flown to the US from the Bahamas for treatment, as his father John had initially wanted.

During a search of her office, the defendant admitted the document would never be found as she had burned it and flushed it down the toilet.
