Becks' new rose tattoo honours ten years with Victoria

Being given a bouquet of red roses would be enough to set any woman's heart aflutter.

But David Beckham has gone the extra mile for his wife, having etched a ring of 10 roses on his upper left arm - one for every year of his marriage to Victoria.

And while she probably appreciated the romantic motivation behind the new artwork, the former Spice Girl is believed to have asked David not to have any more tattoos.

"(Victoria) likes them but wants a bit of his skin to be left, but David went ahead with it anyway," a source close to the couple says.

Created by Beckham's regular artist Louis Malloy, the footie ace's last tattoo was a translation of a biblical passage.

Originally in Hebrew, it reads: "My son, do not forget my teaching, but keep my commands in your heart".

Becks' numerous tattoos cover a majority of his buff bod, but, he apparently plans to add more to his collection in order to create his own 'tattoo sleeves'.
