Leona Lewis attacker identified as X Factor contestant
The man who assaulted X Factor winner Leona Lewis had been previously turned away from an audition for the reality talent show, it has been revealed.
Peter Kowalczyk, who threw a punch at Bleeding Love star Leona on Wednesday, has been charged with assault and sectioned in a psychiatric hospital.
It is understood the 29-year-old had queued for five hours to meet Leona, after buying a copy of her autobiography.
Leona, who cancelled a promotional trip to Germany following the incident, plans to continue with next week's rehearsals for her first major UK shows.
