Jack Tweed told to 'grow up' but spared jail over assault

After arriving at the courthouse with his bag packed in case he was handed jail time, Jack Tweed was sentenced on charges of assault.

Jade Goody's widower pleaded guilty to attacking 21-year-old Tom Grantham outside Deuces Bar and Lounge in Chigwell, Essex earlier this year.

The judge told 24-year-old Jack to 'grow up' before assigning him an 18-month supervision order, 100 hours of community service work and a £625 fine.

Had the sentence included time behind bars, it would have been his third time in jail since meeting his late wife in 2006.
