Kate Middleton pays secret visit to Westminster Abbey

With the nation still waiting to hear where and when the highly-anticipated royal wedding will be, Kate Middleton has been busy checking out her options.

The bride-to-be was spotted looking at Westminster Abbey on Wednesday night - leading to speculation the couple have chosen the historic church to tie the knot.

Kate was accompanied by Prince William's closest aides and her new security officers – who will now be a constant presence in her life as his fiancée.

A St James's Palace spokesman said: "Miss Middleton paid a private visit to Westminster Abbey to consider the options and meet key staff there."
