Pete Doherty has been sentenced to six months in jail for the possession of cocaine.
The Babyshambles frontman was arrested by police after he was caught on film taking substances with heiress Robyn Whitehead just days before her death in January.
The 32-year-old pleaded guilty to possession of the drug in east London's Snaresbrook Crown Court on Friday, where he was then sentenced by Judge David Radford.
"From what I have heard and what I have read there is no doubt that you are a talented and successful musician," the judge said.
"However, you have an appalling record of committed offences of the kind for which you fall to be sentenced today."
Film-maker Robyn was creating a documentary about the singer when she died of substance poisoning.
It is Pete's third time in jail for drug-related offences.
