Amy Winehouse 'drug-free for a year,' says dad
Amy Winehouse has been substance-free for a year, her father Mitch has revealed.
Speaking at the House of Commons where he was participating in a debate about the cocaine trade, the former taxi driver said his troubled daughter was back on track.
Mitch also took time to speak to MPs about his findings from a documentary he is making regarding rehabilitation services available to heroin addicts.
He believes the current healthcare system means many addicts cannot afford treatment.
"We were very fortunate - we were able to afford the best doctors, clinical psychologists, rehabilitation and hospitals," he said referring to his daughter's treatment.
