Scottish newcomer Paul Brannigan has confessed he was "quite nervous" before getting naked in front of Scarlett Johansson for new Ken Loach comedy The Angels' Share.
The unemployed Glaswegian plays a man seduced by an alien (played by Scarlett) who visits Scotland in human form.
Paul, 25, said of the love scene: "I took my clothes off - she didn't take her clothes off. It was fun. She was an absolutely fantastic girl. I was quite nervous at first, but once I got to talk to her, she was fine."
But the actor admitted there was no escaping the fact Avengers Assemble's Scarlett was a huge star.
"She had her own bodyguards," he quipped. "I had an umbrella."
Paul - at the Cannes Film Festival to promote the movie, revealed he almost didn't land the role.
"The first and second auditions they called me for, I didn't go. I wasn't really up for it," he explained.
"Things were tough, I had no money, it was Christmas time, and I'd got a loan I wanted to pay back. I thought, well if I make a couple of hundred quid that will see me through."
