The Duchess of York has sold the TV and merchandising rights to her children's books in the US and Canada.
Amid considerable speculation about her finances, Sarah Ferguson has reached a deal with film-maker Handmade involving "substantial amounts of money".
The firm has plans to turn the mum-of-two's kids books, Little Red and Tea For Ruby – both highly popular in the States – into cartoons as part of their new business, Handmade Kids.
It is also reported that the Duchess will join the company board as a non-executive director.
"The launch of Handmade Kids brings together several extremely well-regarded brands and children's programming," said Sarah.
"I am pleased that Tea For Ruby and the Little Red series will be developed by what we firmly believe will become a leading children's entertainment book."
The film-maker - behind Withnail and I and Time Bandits - has also signed Sarah up for a six-part series retracing the journeys of great female explorers titled In The Footsteps Of.
