Marie and Joachim welcome a little princess
When his wife announced she was pregnant last year, Prince Joachim admitted: "With three boys already, I would like a little girl".
Now, the Danish royal's wish has come true as he and Marie have welcomed a little princess into the family.
The palace has revealed that their daughter was born on Tuesday with the proud dad present and tipped the scales at 6lb 5oz pounds.
In line with Danish royal tradition, the child's name won't be revealed until her christening takes place.
