Renee Zellweger's new TV pilot has been snapped up for $6 million.
Broadcaster Fox 21 has paid the sum, which is the highest amount paid for a cable TV pilot to date.
The Hollywood star's show, Cinnamon Girl, will be broadcast on American TV network Lifetime.
The coming-of-age drama co-created by Renee follows the lives of four girls in the Sixties and Seventies in Los Angeles.
The programme is apparently inspired by Renee's own trip from her hometown to Tinseltown.
Actresses Allie MacDonald, Alexis Knapp, Brooke Anne Smith and Jade Bartlett are also set to appear in the drama.
