'Susan Boyle needs 24-hour care,' says worried brother

Susan Boyle's family feels the singer needs constant care following her rapid rise to fame last year.

"She needs 24-hour care. She needs to be looked after," the 48-year-old's brother John tells People.

Susan, who lived with her mother until she passed away in 2007, had treatment at the Priory clinic after missing out on the Britain's Got Talent trophy last year.

And the I Dreamed A Dream singer, author of the top-selling album in the US, recently had a scare when she found intruders in her West Lothian home.

"The travelling and the whole thing is exhausting. She still has her anxieties and her loneliness," adds John.

In a previous interview, the star's other brother Gerry, 55, revealed that his sister would like to find love.

"Of course, her family will always be there for her but it is not the same as having someone special in your life," he says.
