Three million web views for Danyl's X Factor audition

“That was single-handedly the best first audition I have ever heard,” music mogul Simon Cowell told X Factor hopeful Danyl Johnson after his performance.  

And it seems the Reading teacher is now wowing audiences further afield, too.

With hits from both sides of the Atlantic, Danyl's audition - which received a standing ovation from the judges - has been viewed on YouTube over three million times.

Twenty-seven-year-old teacher Danyl, who previously tried and failed to get through on the show, had kept his audition a secret from his pupils.

With everyone talking about his With A Little Help From My Friends rendition, it is thought Danyl will repeat the international success of former X Factor contestant Susan Boyle.
