'DWTS': who followed David Hasselhoff off the show?

His dance was touted as "probably the worst" in 11 series of Dancing with the Stars.

And with that stinging assessment, Michael Bolton became the latest celeb to be voted off the show.

The second contestant to be eliminated this season, singer Michael and his professional partner Chelsie Hightower failed to impress with their Hound Dog-themed jive.

His efforts were blasted by judge Bruno Tonioli, who said he hated the dance and that it was arguably the poorest seen on the show – remarks Michael said he felt were "inappropriate and disrespectful."

"Other than that, it was a phenomenal experience," added the 57-year-old.

While Michael was placed at the bottom of the pile, out on top were Cheryl Cole's pal Derek Hough and his partner Jennifer Grey.

They received a score of three eights for their jive from Bruno, Len Goodman and Carrie Ann Inaba.

In week three of the show, contestants will attempt to perform a samba or waltz.
