Sir Elton John returns to Caesar's Palace in Vegas

Sir Elton John played the grand opening of his new show in Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas on Wednesday evening.

Entitled The Million Dollar Piano it's set to be even more spectacular than his previous Vegas performance, The Red Piano.

His last show at the hotspot was full of excitement with risque imagery, high-tech videos and large, inflatable props.

Elton promises that his new spectacle will be even greater.

The superstar's return comes after a two-year break following a five year stint of his previous show.

The Red Piano was scheduled to last just three years, but went on for two more due to popular demand.

Named after the main prop - a piano that took manufacturer Yamaha four years to build - Sir Elton says his performance is "going to surprise a lot of people."

"This isn't like the old days. It's going to be certainly different from anything you've seen from me before, as was The Red Piano."
