Russell Brand's £2.2m Christmas gift for Katy Perry

Things are clearly becoming serious between Russell Brand and Katy Perry.

The British funnyman splashed out £2.2 million on the US star this Christmas, buying her a luxury Los Angeles pad for them to spend quality time together in.

The cheeky chap has already put his own London bachelor pad on the market, sparking speculation of a permanent US move.

And it's clear to see what attracted him to the property.

Situated in an affluent part of the Californian city, the four-storey house boasts four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a large outdoor swimming pool, and beautiful views across downtown LA.

It's the latest in a string of romantic gestures from the happy couple, who met at September's MTV Video Awards.

Last week, the two stars enjoyed a spot of sledging on Hampstead Heath before watching a West Ham United game together.
